EFE Gold, which was launched in 2015, is made from Anatolian grapes and aniseeds. Rakı is usually aged in stainless steel vats. According to Rakı production standards in Turkey, maximum 10 grams of sugar per litre can be added to Rakı in the making process. EFE Gold has no added sugar and has been aged for 120 days in oak barrels to inherit smooth taste, distintive colour, and aromas.
