The history of Glendalough dates back to the year 518. Around this time Saint Kevin withdrew to the Irish wilderness, where he lived for seven long years. According to a legend he stood in the water with blackbird eggs in his hand for 13 days and nights until the baby birds hatched. He waited for another 13 days until the blackbirds could fly. St. Kevin is depicted in this pose on the bottles of Glendalough. This bottlingfinished in Madeira casks and shows itself full-bodied with wine aromas. Limited bottling.
